I think they have already digitized all the words in all the scanned books, now they are just testing how far they can push people's pattern recognition skills. Interesting work but it's not configurable as well as even Google REcaptcha, and not localizable, most of our products made for Russian market so we can't ask users to answer questions in English. It's very easy to make custom captcha based on number of open-source libraries, and we're using one for our projects. Hello Nik.
